Wow, I haven't updated this baby in a long time; sorry, guys. As much as I love Xena: Warrior Princess, real-life (an evil thing called school) catches up to you once in a while and due to an injury at work, I've been sort of in-and-0ut of it lately. My apologies and I hope that you can all forgive me and not decapitate me for not updating. And just for that, when I learn some decent HTMLing and most of the stuff that I have forgotten over the years, I'm going to buy a website from a good server soon or actually, a good friend of mine is going to host a site for me.

So, if you haven't heard yet, Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor have both put up their new websites! Lucy's fan club is up and running while Renee is yet to get hers up soon. Here are the links to both websites:

Lawless Ink.

Renee O'Connor Official Site

Be sure to check ever so often for updates. Sharon Delaney updates Lawless Ink. fairly often and there are tee shirt updates, as well as updates from Lucy and photos.

'Vampire Bats', the CBS sequel to 'Locusts!' will be aired on Halloween night, October 31. It was brilliant, I tell you. I taped the entire thing; it was great.

Also, here is an update from Sharon Delaney from November 21st and 25th on Lawless Ink.

11/21 -- Bits and Pieces
Lucy’s headed off to New Orleans tomorrow to attend a couple fundraisers on Nov. 23 and 24. One is the New Orleans Louisiana Sheriff’s 31st Annual Thanksgiving Day Celebration at the New Orleans House of Blues. Another one is in Jefferson Parish on Nov. 23. She wants to help raise awareness that there is still much to be done in New Orleans and on Thanksgiving, this is the time to find a way to do some giving ourselves.

I am going with her and the video camera is powered up and loaded with tapes. I'll be documenting every part of the trip I can. I don't know that we'll have any internet access so I may be offline until Thanksgiving night. I don't really have any words for what I'm feeling right now. Both Lucy and I just hope some good will come of it.

She just finished filming an episode of Veronica Mars that will air Jan. 18.

She only filmed one episode of Battlestar Galactica.

11/25
We're back, but left pieces of our heart and soul in New Orleans -- the flights to and from New Orleans.

I will put up some more news later dealing with Lucy's performance at The Factory tomorrow afternoon.

This has been Xena Media, ciao!

Finally, our beloved Lucy Lawless has started her own website! You can visit her page here and read up on the latest update that they have listed there, which is the following (it's called 'Lawless Ink.', by the way):

9/13 -- Lucy did a phone interview with Entertainment Tonight about her journey out of New Orleans just before Hurricane Katrina hit. She talked with them the day she arrived in Baton Rouge. Although part of the conversation didn't make the piece that aired on the show, ET was kind enough to give us a copy so the fans could hear Lucy talk about the Xena fans who chartered a private plane and pilot to fly her and some of the Vampire Bats movie crew to Texas. Click here to listen to her conversation with Mark Steines.

The movie production moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The producers of Bats were finishing up filming another movie there and that crew will become the Bats production team in a couple days. It's a challenge because the new crew will have no idea what went on before. They also need to reproduce sets, costumes, etc. Lucy said Brett Butler worked for one week in New Orleans and her work was finished. However, Timothy Bottoms is there along with Dylan Neal and many of the rest of the cast.

Lucy has not signed on yet to reprise her Battlestar Galactic character. But she will be talking with the producers when she gets back from Halifax about doing another episode or two this season.

Also, LucyisLawless.com (the link is underneath the Frequently Visited Sites off to the left) is been updated with new video clips of Lucy's interview with Conan O'Brian and ET. There are also plenty of gallery updates and the like, so be sure to go and check that out.

And it's not too late to help out with the Hurricane Katrina cause. Donate to the Red Cross today. They really do need it, in order to help out the victims, as much as they possibly can.

I'm terribly sorry that this isn't related to Xena or any of the stars from the show, but Ellen Degeneres has also been collecting for the cause and so far has raised a rather large sum of money (Best Buy donated $6.5 million alone). "Warner Bros. Entertainment is donating $500,000 and will match your contributions up to another $500,000", the website states, so please go and check that out, if you can here.

This has been XenaMedia.

P.S. If you're a big Uber fiction fan, I'm going to be starting a fanlisting for 'Madam President', an excellent piece of work done by two collaborative authors very soon, if approved by them, so keep a look-out for that.

I was just reading through on Google.com on Ellen Degeneres, since she's one of my most favorite celebrities, aside from Lucy and Renee, and I found this article on lesbianism. Funny thing is that it mentions the Xena/Gabrielle pairing towards the bottom of the page under 'Media Depictions'. Check it out, if you wish. If lesbianism or the idea of two women in love and being involved bothers you, don't read it.

If I have any other updates, I'll get back to you.

In the meanwhile, you and check out LucyLawless.info (the link is off to the left of this page in Frequently Visited Links, for more information on Lucy Lawless's adverts for the American Red Cross and ReneeOConnor.info for information on what Renee's been doing, in order to help out with the Red Cross.

Sharon has updated her page on Creation Entertainment once again, confirming that Lucy Lawless had arrived safely in California.

Spoke to Lucy again this afternoon. She's back home, safe but sleepy, and her thoughts are for the people still in harm's way. They will finish filming the movie in another city.

Lucy on ET Wednesday, Aug 31. They caught her at the Houston airport. Thanks to Aleida for the heads-up. And thanks to MaryD for pointing me toward the Network for Good to help the hurricane victims.

Speaking of the hurricane victims, Network For Good is currently in a hurry to try and help the victims of Tropical Storm Katrina (which used to be a Category 5 hurricane). Please go and donate, if you can for the good cause.

Help Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina has blazed a trail of devastation throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Across the Gulf Coast, Katrina engulfed thousands of homes and decimated the landscape in what could become the most destructive storm in U.S. history. Victims are stranded and in need of immediate medical care, food and water, and tens of thousands of people will need temporary housing for months.

Help people affected by this storm by making a donation today.

And if you happen to live in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, Ace & TJ from Kiss 95.1 have been working on a project called "Give To The Gulf", which takes volunteers, canned goods, non-perishable items, and check and cash donations. So far, they've raised $131,000 in cash donations since Monday, August 29th. It's an amazing feat indeed and so if you live in this area, go to the website to see what you can do, in order to make an effortless contribution.

In other news, Xena Chakram Clock and the Easel for Chakram Clock have gone on sale on LegendaryHeroes.com at the following prices and cuts:

As Hurricane Katrina storms through New Orleans, many Hollywood stars in town are fleeing the city in search of safety. From HILARY SWANK to "Xena" alum LUCY LAWLESS, we know where the stars are now as they tell us their harrowing stories of escape.

"I turned on the television and saw Category 5," Lawless tells ET.

The actress was one of the mass swarm of people who have fled the devastating storm. She had been shooting the CBS movie "Vampire Bats" in the Big Easy when the frantic call to evacuate the city came.

"The traffic was going one mile per hour sometimes," Lawless says of trying to leave the city. "Then it was two miles per hour, then five. It took nine hours for what should have taken 50-55 minutes."

Lucy had no electrical power and was only able to communicate via telephone. With her family back home and out of harm's way, she left the city with three production members and is staying in Baton Rouge, LA. But the popular star is concerned for the people who weren't as lucky as her.

"I just realized all those people in incredibly low-lying areas are in such threat," she says. "I just worry about them."

Just last week Lucy told ET how fond of the city she was. "I love this town, I love the heat," the New Zealander said. "I was afraid of coming, working in sweltering heat and swamps, but it's just been pure joy. I would move here if I could work here all of the time."

In other news, Lucy sent a picture from her camera phone to Sharon Delaney, letting her know that she was just fine.

After a nine-hour car ride, all you really want is a bed.
Time for a quick phone-photo to let the fans know I'm still here!

Lucy on ET tonight, Aug. 29
to thank the fans that made offers of shelter and a charter plane.

Lucy, cast and crew safely away from New Orleans

Talked with her again this morning. Said she woke up in the wee hours to the sound of three explosions which was probably trees hitting power lines. Still lots of wind and rain but a safe place to be and they hope to go back to finish the movie.

Talked to Lucy yesterday afternoon and she wanted everyone to know all the cast and crew of the movie are safely out of New Orleans. They're staying with friends of the production company. It was a long, slow ride out of town, but they made it. Their thoughts are with those still in the city and the surrounding area and everyone is praying that the storm weakens. She's grateful for the offers of help that were received as they were readying the troupe to move out.

Starting on the morning of August 29th, 2005, Oh! Oxygen will be airing the very first episode ("Sins of the Past") of our beloved series, Xena: Warrior Princess once again to kick-start itself off of the long hiatus that it had been put on once before. There have been discussions between fans telling each other of the times and I've heard countless times that it was going to be on at night, which makes more sense, but the website (www.oxygen.com/Xena/) is listing it under to show the morning of August 29th, but I really do think that it may be the evening. Since I have to attend school early that morning, I will not be able to check, but if someone can and e-mail me at xstoked_rheastoria@yahoo.com that would be great.

Here is the description of the episode that is airing on Monday, however, to remind you people what it's about:

Xena heads homeward, determined to make amends for the sins of the past, but her efforts to begin life anew are challenged by the vengeful warlord Draco.

In other news, Lucy Lawless has accepted the role of D'anna Biers on the popular Sci-Fi television series "Battlestar Galactica" on an episode titled "Final Cut", which is to be aired this Friday night on the Sci-Fi channel at 10/9 C. She plays a reporter, who is "invited abroad the Galactica to document the stressful reality of military life during wartime". Check it out here at www.scifi.com/battlestar.

Also, "Vampire Bats", the sequel to "Locusts!" has been given the air time of October 30th on CBS.

Until then, this was XenaMedia.

Legendary Heroes now has a new item called 'Gabrielle's Katana Mini/Letter Opener' for sale at the price of $24.95. Go and grab it while you can!

Also, I've recently purchased the Xena 10th Anniversary DVD Collection at Wal-Mart last weekend and oh boy, the DVD is sure worth every single penny that I spent on it, plus tax. *laughs* The episodes are amazing, as always, in quality and content and the audio/video commentary is awesome to hear while watching your favorite Xena stars watching the episodes right along with you at your own television set. You learn a lot of history behind the show, as well, such as how Hong Kong influenced the starting of Xena: Warrior Princess - the series, and how Xena compares to the history of Greek/Roman mythology.

It's well worth your time and effort to go out and buy it, so please do. ^__^

I've also added in three new affiliates to the ever-growing list off to the left and the sites are all additions to LucyLawless.info and they are as follows: Diana, Heat: The Dar & Kerry Fanlisting (an Uber-Xena pairing), and Genius (the official Rob Tapert fanlisting).

Thanks for reading; this is Xena Media. Out.
